Is Rufio for my business?

How to find out whether Rufio has a foundation built for your trade

Goal

Find out whether Rufio has been built specifically for a business like yours, using the same catalog the product itself reads from — not a marketing list that could be out of date.

Before you start

You don't need an account, and you don't need to join the waitlist first. All you need is a plain description of what your business does — the way you'd say it to a new customer, not a category code.

It also helps to know how this is decided. Rufio does not keep a separate, general-purpose list of "supported industries" that it checks you against. Whether your trade is supported comes down to one thing: whether Rufio has a foundation — a purpose-built starting setup for that specific kind of business — and whether that foundation has been published. It either exists and is published, or it doesn't yet. There's no partial or in-between state to look for, and no separate marketing answer that might disagree with what the catalog itself shows.

This matters because the catalog reflects the current, real state of what's published — not a fixed snapshot decided in advance. What it shows you is an accurate answer for right now, read directly from the same place the product checks.

Steps

  1. Visit the business type catalog. This is the same catalog the product itself reads from to decide eligibility, not a separate page maintained by hand.
  2. Look for your line of work the way you would actually describe it, in the words you would use yourself.
  3. If you find a card for your trade, that's your answer: Rufio has a foundation built specifically for that kind of business, and it's published.
  4. If you don't find your exact wording, look for the broader category yours might sit under before deciding it isn't supported. Narrower category names are commonly grouped under a broader one covering the same work, so searching either name finds it. Business types explains how that resolution works.
  5. If you still can't find anything close to your trade under any name, that's a real answer, not a gap in your search — see "If it doesn't work" below.

Verify

You've confirmed your business type is supported when you find a card in the catalog for your trade, or for the broader trade your work is grouped under.

If it doesn't work

Your trade doesn't appear anywhere in the catalog, under any name. This means Rufio does not yet have a published foundation built for that kind of business. The catalog only ever shows business types that have one — it's built to never fall back to a separate, static marketing list to paper over a gap, so what you see there is accurate rather than optimistic. Not finding your trade is a real gap, not a display problem.

That doesn't require you to wait before doing anything else. The waitlist itself asks for your business type as a plain description you type yourself, not a pick from a fixed list, so you can describe your trade in your own words even without a published foundation yet. See Joining the waitlist.
